1. Who is the data controller?

Mantix BV, owner of ZwemlesWijzer, is the data controller for the processing of personal data as described in this statement.

2. What personal data do we process?

We process different types of personal data, depending on how you use our website.

When visiting the website:

  • Analytical data: We collect anonymized data about your browsing behavior, such as the pages you visit, how long you stay on a page, how you came to our site, and general information about your operating system and browser. We use Google Analytics for this. Your IP address is anonymized in this process.

3. For what purpose and on what basis do we process data?

We process your data for the following purposes:

4. Google Analytics

Wij gebruiken Google Analytics om de prestaties van onze website te meten. Om jouw privacy te waarborgen, hebben wij de volgende maatregelen genomen:

  • We have concluded a processor agreement with Google.
  • We have enabled the IP address anonymization feature. Your IP address is therefore not fully transmitted.
  • We have disabled 'data sharing with Google'. The collected data is not shared with Google for their own advertising purposes or other services.
  • We do not use other Google services in combination with Google Analytics cookies.

5. Retention periods

We do not store your personal data longer than strictly necessary to realize the purposes for which your data is collected.

  • Google Analytics data: This is stored for a maximum of 26 months.
  • Reviews: These remain online as long as the review is relevant to other users and the relevant swimming organisation is still active, or until you submit a deletion request.
  • Contact form data: This is deleted after your question or comment has been handled.

6. Sharing data with third parties

We do not sell your data to third parties. We only share it with other parties (processors) if this is necessary for the performance of our services or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we enter into a processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality.

Our main processors are:

7. Cookies

ZwemlesWijzer uses functional and analytical cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you first visit this website.

8. Your rights

You have the right to inspect, correct, or have your personal data deleted. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by ZwemlesWijzer.

To ensure that the request was made by you, we may ask you to send a copy of your identity document. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

You also have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

9. Security

We take the protection of your data seriously and take appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized alteration. Our website uses a reliable SSL/TLS certificate to ensure that your personal data does not fall into the wrong hands.
